Light shed on Sydney solar defects

More light has been shed on the issues around defects in New South Wales solar panels, in a new Manufacturers Monthly article.
A recent Sydney audit revealed 18.5% of houses with solar panels had a major defect, and it has now been claimed this could be the result of mistakes from DC (Direct Current) manufacturers.
John Nester from solar company SolarPV has claimed a DC component manufacturer may have incorrectly labeled 'plus' and 'minus' switches for a range of Sydney solar retailers, which resulted in the issues.
However the problem has now been detected and resolved.
Solar Photovoltaic panels that are installed on your roof convert the sun's light in to DC electricity, and the inverter then converts this DC electricity into AC (Alternating Current) electricity for use in your home.
Increased checks are now occuring in South Australia, and as Love Energy previously posted no such issues have been found in this state.
Nonetheles it's a stark reminder that there's no substitute for quality when it comes to installing solar for your home or business.
