Solar suits lower incomes

LoveEnergy

Statistics taken from 76,000 Adelaide households shows lower and middle-income families are leading the way in solar panel installations.

Saturday's Advertiser covered the story with findings showing Adelaide's 'mortgage belt' installed the most solar systems, with suburbs like Morphett Vale, Mt Barker, Woodcroft and Parafield Gardens all near the top of the list.

The research reinforces Love Energy's message that solar energy is the most affordable form of power, and the best to save you money in the long term.

Clean Energy Council policy director Russell Marsh told The Advertiser that people on lower incomes actually have the most to gain from solar energy, as they protect themselves from inevitable rising electricity prices.
