Renewable Energy World reported on Monday that research from the University of Melbourne indicates solar and wind energy prices will continue to fall over the coming years.

Lead research Patrick Hearps said that solar technology would become very competitive with fossil fuels over the next five to ten years, and open up much more market penetration.

This was reinforced yesterday by Climate Spectator, who revealed that Australia will become one of the first countries in the world to reach grid parity between rooftop solar and traditional electricity.
