SMA celebrates 30 years in solar

SMA Solar Technology AG has today celebrated 30 years of being in the solar industry, and announced it will open the world's largest service centre for solar photovoltaic inverters in 2012.

From being founded in 1981 as a small German engineering firm, SMA has grown to become a world-leader in solar inverters that employs over 6,500 staff in 19 countries.

Next year it will open a 24,000m² centre at the Sandershäuser Berg site in Germany with the aim of expanding the already broad range of services it offers to its customers.

The solar inverter is what converts DC electricity generated by rooftop solar panels into AC electricity that can be used by your home, and Love Energy is proud to use both SMA and Aurora PowerOne inverters for all our installations.
