Solar interest in Swan Hill

Love Energy

The ABC reports the Victorian town of Swan Hill is being investigated for a medium to large solar power development.

Councillors voted last month to make Swan Hill's Blackwire Reserve the site for the new development, and they have already received interest from local and international solar companies.

Mayor Greg Cruickshank said the visits were encouraging, and site investigations were now being pushed through to prepare for the rezoning of the site so it can be developed.

Swan Hill is situated in northwest Victoria, approximately three hours from the South Australian border.

Love Energy recognises the need for rural communities to have the same solar opportunities as metropolitan areas, and as such will be travelling to Roxby Downs on October 27 for a free seminar that will shine a light on solar.

To book your place at the Roxby Downs seminar or any of our other free information sessions, simply visit the Attend a Free Info Night page on the Love Energy website.
